Do you know that you can have all the knowledge in the world about Jesus and still not be in a relationship with Him? It is like deciding to read every book published about Abraham Lincoln You would learn a lot about Abraham Lincoln and would eventually be considered an expert regarding his life, but no amount of knowledge about Abraham Lincoln would give you a relationship with him. It’s that way with Jesus. Knowledge is good, but it doesn’t make a relationship. What’s the foundation of all relationships? Trust. Jesus’ death on the cross was God’s statement to man that in God you can trust. No matter what you have done or will do, God has forgiven you through Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. Where’s your trust? Have you gone through life trusting in your own abilities? Do you attempt to do things to earn favor in God’s eyes? Either way, you are sadly missing God’s will. God’s will is that each person would come into a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and would receive the gift of eternal life through trust in Him alone. By placing your trust in Christ and receiving Him as your personal Savior, you are freed from the bondage of sin, and you walk in a daily relationship with Christ. You have a choice…. you can trust in yourself, your knowledge, your abilities, and your deeds, which will leave you alone, lost, and ultimately forever alienated from your creator. Alternatively, you can place your trust in Jesus as your personal Savior and you will walk with Him in relationship daily, always have direction, purpose, and eternal life.
