In the Garden of Eden God created man and woman, Adam and Eve. They walked with God daily in a full and complete relationship with nothing hidden. Adam and Eve sinned by eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil that God commanded them not to eat from, and the relationship between God and man was broken. From that day forward man began hiding from God and man’s ability to “fix” the broken relationship with God was impossible. Throughout the Old Testament God demonstrated to mankind that man’s attempt to “do” things to be delivered from sin would never work. Only God could provide a way for man to again walk with Him in perfect unity. That way was provided through Jesus Christ. On the cross at Calvary Jesus bore the sins of mankind, past, present, and future, and He died for our sins. He sacrificed himself so we would someday walk with Him in newness of life. Not only did He die for our sins, He arose from the dead and presently sits at the right hand of God. Jesus is not a dead Savior He is a living Savior. Jesus desires a full and complete relationship with each person, and seeks to show you the hope that can only be found through a relationship with Him.
